As Faculty Ombuds at CSUB, I provide confidential, independent, and impartial assistance to faculty members in resolving university-related concerns. My role is to facilitate communication, provide information on policies and procedures, and help find fair and equitable solutions to workplace issues.
Throughout my academic career, I have been dedicated to educational research with a focus on statistical methods, assessment methodologies, and data science applications in educational settings. I have received early promotions to Associate Professor (1997), Tenure (1998), and Full Professor (2000).
My research covers educational statistics, data science applications, assessment methodologies, and program evaluation. I have conducted extensive research on student achievement, educational productivity, and cross-cultural studies in education.
I have served as Principal Investigator and Evaluator for numerous grants and projects funded by organizations such as NSF, the U.S. Department of Education, the Spencer Foundation, and various state and local agencies.
